Megan Woods to step aside in Wigram but seek place from party list

Labour's Megan Woods will not stand in Wigram at the 2026 election, RNZ reports. She has held the local seat since 2011. She will seek a place in Parliament from Labour's party list instead. That leaves Wigram without its current holder standing for the first time since 2011. National's Tracy Summerfield will face Labour's Dominik Yanzick for the area.
