Halo Video Games Get New Boss as Xbox Shakes Up Teams

The Halo video games will now be run by Activision under a shake-up of Microsoft's Xbox group announced September 22, 2026. Most of the Halo Studios team will lose their jobs rather than move to Activision. A small crew will stay to keep Halo Infinite and Halo: Combat Evolved running.
