Head of Big AI Company Says People Must Stay in Charge

Sam Altman, head of OpenAI, which builds smart computer systems called AI, told the UN Security Council on 23 September 2026 that people must stay in charge of AI. Speaking at a meeting on AI and world security, he called for a balanced 'middle path' with people at the center.
