FBI Looked Into Senator Collins Over a Big Donation

In late 2024, FBI agents suggested investigating Senator Susan Collins over a $150,000 donation as a possible bribe, ProPublica reported. Defense firm Navatek chief Martin Kao allegedly hid it through a fake company to a fund supporting Collins after seeking work promises, saying she would deliver $32 million in federal work. No charges were filed.
