Charity Watchdog Says Save the Children Failed to Protect Yemen Staff

The government watchdog for charities in England and Wales gave Save the Children an official warning, saying poor leadership put its Yemen workers in grave danger. The two-year investigation followed the death of safety chief Hisham al-Hakimi after he was held in October 2023. The charity admitted serious mistakes and closed its office in northern Yemen for safety.
