Regulator warns Save the Children over staff put at risk in Yemen

The Charity Commission for England and Wales issued Save the Children an official warning after finding management failures put Yemen staff at serious risk. The two-year inquiry followed the October 2023 death of safety director Hisham al-Hakimi after detention. Save the Children accepted serious shortcomings and closed its north Yemen office over security concerns.
