UK to Set Up Air Force Team to Guard Satellites in Space

Britain will create an air force team to guard military satellites, Defence Secretary Wes Streeting will announce September 23, 2026. Called No. III Space Effects Squadron, it will protect satellites that warn of missile attacks, carry messages and help ships find their way, the ministry said. It will gather experts from across the military to block hostile acts in orbit.
