Marriages that ended in divorce in England and Wales in 2025 lasted 13 years at the midpoint — half longer, half shorter — official ONS figures published 23 September 2026 show. That is the longest since records started in 1963, up from 8.9 years in 1985. There were 105,002 divorces in 2025.
