Groceries cost more in Australia this June. Choice, paid by the government to check prices in 104 stores, found an eight-item basket — milk, fruit, vegetables, rice and beef mince — rose on average to $43.62 from $40.83 in March, up 7%. That is far above 0.6% overall inflation, the average price rise. Next check shows if it lasts.
