Australian grocery basket up 7% in June quarter, Choice finds

Choice's government-funded survey of 104 stores found an eight-item basket averaged $43.62 in June, up from $40.83 in March. The 7% rise compares with 0.6% quarterly CPI inflation. The basket held milk, fruit, vegetables, rice and beef mince. Whether this pressure holds should become clearer at the next quarterly read.
