England farm money gone in hours

The BBC said thousands of farmers in England missed out after the £233m Sustainable Farming Incentive closed in under six hours. It is government money paying farmers to help nature by planting hedges and caring for soil. It said applications opened at 10:00 BST on 22 September and the money ran out by 15:48.
