Ineos Pauses Three Hull Factories as Gas Bills Soar

Ineos will shut down three chemical factories in Hull, in the UK, for now. It announced the pause on 22 September 2026, blaming costly gas in Europe. Two plants in Humberside, near Hull, have already stopped, with a third stopping soon. Ineos says high energy bills make it hard to match competitors worldwide.
