Meta leader Mark Zuckerberg messaged an unnamed person on WhatsApp that protecting children would not be his main personal job, preferring work on virtual online worlds instead, according to court papers described by The Verge on September 22, 2026. It follows his 2021 denial of warnings from an insider, known as a whistleblower, that Facebook hurt children.
