British leader won't rule out rejoining the EU

Prime Minister Andy Burnham would not rule out promising to take Britain back into the EU in Labour's next set of election promises. Asked by reporters Monday flying to New York for the UN meeting of leaders, he said he will keep Keir Starmer's limits on EU ties until the election, and focus on a UK-EU meeting later in 2026.
