Canadian Province Says AI Company Didn't Warn Police Before School Shooting

British Columbia says in its federal lawsuit in San Francisco that OpenAI safety workers wanted to warn police about Jesse Van Rootselaar, but CEO Sam Altman and managers said no, citing insiders who spoke to the Wall Street Journal. Nine died in the Feb. 10 Tumbler Ridge school shooting. The province wants money and court orders to handle violent threats.
