Princeton Named America's Top College for 15th Year in a Row

Princeton is No. 1 among National Universities, the research schools, in U.S. News' 2026 list, published Sept. 23, 2025, with MIT No. 2, according to U.S. News. NJBIZ says Princeton held the top spot 15 straight years. The list rates over 1,400 schools. Like a popular restaurant charging more, top rank means strong demand, not guaranteed payoff on tuition debt.
