Bitcoin climbs back above $85,000

Bitcoin rose above $85,000 on Sept. 21, 2026, its highest price in eight months, Quartz and UNN reported. It held well above $80,000, a price it had struggled to get past before — like a ceiling it kept hitting. It is still below the mid-January 2026 top above $97,000. Recovery so far, full comeback not yet.
