Greens want shop rents to be able to fall, not just rise

The Green Party wants to end a shop lease rule that lets rent go up but never down, co-leader Chlöe Swarbrick said. It would apply to businesses with turnover — total sales — under $30 million, cover current and future leases, and let rents fall as well as rise, with the same limits both ways.
