Oxford soccer team says sorry for painful shirt name

Oxford United pulled its Campus Collection about two hours after putting it on sale on 18 September. The launch, held back from 11 September 2026 as it could upset people, included an American-football-style shirt saying 'United 93' for the team's start in 1893. United 93 was the Al-Qaida-hijacked plane that crashed in 2001, killing 44 people. The club said sorry.
