Britain to Cut Help to Yemen and Afghanistan, Protect Ukraine

Britain plans to give much less help to Yemen, down 28%, and Afghanistan, down 39%, by 2028/29. Help to Ukraine will stay protected, like money locked in a safe. Prime Minister Keir Starmer says the savings will pay for defence spending, meaning the military. The three were Britain's biggest aid receivers in 2025.
