Wild African Cat Found in Louisiana Backyard During House Fire

Firefighters answering a small house fire in Marrero, a suburb near New Orleans, found an African serval behind the house in a 9-by-9-foot chain-link fenced pen. Servals are wild cats from Sub-Saharan Africa, the part of Africa south of the Sahara Desert. Wild pets like this are often found by chance, not by inspections.
