Man Dies After Shark Attack Near Perth Beach

A man died after a shark bit him while he was swimming off Sorrento Beach, north of Perth, on Sept. 18, 2026. Police in Western Australia said rescuers were called at about 10:30 a.m. Boats and helicopters looked over the water. Police said his injuries caused his death.
