Heavy Rain Floods Tunis Streets and Homes

On September 17, very heavy rain stopped parts of Tunis, flooding streets and houses and trapping people in cars. Electricity and internet stopped working, and the tunnel to Bab Saadoun closed. Weather experts had warned heavy rain could fill drains like an overflowing sink. 29 flood-protection projects are still being built, so the next storm will show progress.
