New law lets police tell beggars to move on

Parliament has made a new law. It lets police tell people who are causing trouble, begging or sleeping outside to go somewhere else. The Government says saying no can mean a fine or jail time. Justice Minister Paul Goldsmith said the law does not make being homeless a crime.
