Former Arizona Senator Jon Kyl Dies at 84

Arizona Republican Jon Kyl, a former senator, died Thursday at 84, his family announced. Cause was problems from brain illness, after sharing a dementia diagnosis in December. The lawyer served as national lawmaker from 1986, in House then Senate for three terms, as party vote-organizer in 2007-2013, returning in 2018 to take John McCain's seat and help confirm Brett Kavanaugh.
