Former Arizona Senator Jon Kyl dies at 84

Former Republican Sen. Jon Kyl of Arizona died Thursday at 84, his family announced. Cause was complications from a neurological disease after a dementia diagnosis disclosed in December. The attorney served in the House from 1986 and three Senate terms, as GOP whip 2007-2013, returning in 2018 to fill John McCain's seat and guide Brett Kavanaugh's confirmation.
