Gas for December costs more than expected

Gas for December delivery — Dutch TTF, Europe's standard price — costs 79.131 euros per megawatt hour, a unit of energy, CME Group shows, above the European Central Bank's bad-case guess of 77 euros and normal guess of 60.1 euros, Reuters reported Sept. 14. That can lift inflation — everyday prices — household bills and borrowing costs.
