Parliament passes law for India trade deal

National, ACT and Labour voted for a law to put the India trade deal in place. New Zealand First, the Greens and Te Pāti Māori voted against it. Parliament in Wellington finished the law in the week to 17 September 2026. Trade Minister Todd McClay spoke in support at the final vote.
