Tribunal says new school plan broke promises to Māori

The tribunal that judges Treaty claims says the Government's new school plan was ideological, driven by beliefs, and broke promises to work with and protect Māori, chair Rachel Mullins said. Māori were barely consulted, and there is no proof the facts-first plan will help Māori students catch up.
