Firm gives investors $8.5 billion in SpaceX shares

Valor Equity Partners gave investors in its funds $8.5 billion in SpaceX shares directly, or 8.5% of what it owned, according to an SEC filing reported by Bloomberg. Like handing over property instead of selling it for cash, it passed along the shares themselves. It still owns more than 460 million shares.
