Andy Burnham's dad dies, never knowing son led the country

Andy Burnham, the prime minister, lost his father Roy Burnham on Monday, 14 September. The BBC said he had severe memory loss from Alzheimer's and never knew his son led the country. Mr Burnham put off meetings and thanked rival party leaders and others who sent messages.
