Small English village votes to leave UK in housing protest

Piddington, a village in Oxfordshire, voted 285 to 26, with one invalid ballot, to leave the UK in a symbolic protest vote Tuesday with no legal force. The 312-vote result, announced Wednesday outside the village hall, opposes plans to house up to 1,256 men seeking asylum at an old army base in nearby Bicester.
