
More Than 1 Million Britons Quit Jobs to Care for Loved Ones
More than 1 million people in Britain left paying jobs in the last two years to care for older, sick or disabled loved ones without pay — about 1,500 a day — according to Carers UK. That rate has doubled in seven years. With 6.7 million workers still doing both, more exits could leave fewer people available to work.
