ACT wants $14.37 pay for workers under 20

ACT, a political party, wants a $14.37-an-hour training wage — a lower starting rate — for workers under 20 in their first year with an employer, RNZ reports. The present rate is $19.16. Council of Trade Unions president Sandra Grey called it 'unconscionable' and 'nowhere near enough to live on.'
