ACT proposes $14.37 training wage for under-20s

ACT has proposed a $14.37 an hour training wage for workers under 20 for their first 12 months with any employer, according to RNZ. RNZ reports the current starting-out wage is $19.16. Council of Trade Unions president Sandra Grey said the rate is 'unconscionable' and 'nowhere near enough to live on.'
