Wellington Hospital uses hallway for extra emergency beds

Wellington Hospital has closed off part of a hallway near its emergency short-stay area to fit up to four beds, Health NZ says. They are for settled patients waiting for a ward bed or to go home when the hospital is busy. A nurse watches the area, kept closed for privacy. It was being used Tuesday.
