Wellington Hospital closes off corridor for extra ED beds

Wellington Hospital has closed off part of a corridor outside its emergency department observation unit for up to four beds, Health NZ says. The beds are for stable patients awaiting admission or discharge when occupancy is high. A nurse monitors the area, with access restricted for privacy. The measure was in use on Tuesday.
