Forest Fire Gets Very Close to Orangutan Scientists' Camp

Wildfires in Borneo's Gunung Palung National Park have burned within 200 metres of Rangkong, a small outpost where scientists study orangutans. Researchers say flames could reach the main camp, Cabang Panti, in 20 days without help or wide cleared gaps to block fire. More than 40 staff, helpers and villagers are defending Rangkong.
