Gas prices jump in Europe

Gas bought right now in Europe costs 75% more than at end-June, the Wall Street Journal reported Sept. 9. The price was 82.40 euros per megawatt-hour — a chunk of energy — on Sept. 15, up 33.42% in a month, per Trading Economics. I expect higher winter heating and power bills if tight conditions hold.
