European spot gas up 75% since end-June to 82.40 euros/MWh

European spot natural gas rose 75% since the end of June, the Wall Street Journal reported Sept. 9. EU gas traded at 82.40 euros per megawatt hour Sept. 15, up 33.42% in the month to Sept. 15, per Trading Economics. I expect pressure on winter heating and power bills if tight conditions hold.
