Ministers plan yearly limit on gifts from Britons living overseas

Ministers said they plan to limit gifts from Britons living abroad to £100,000 per person a year. Steve Reed said on 25 March the rule would apply back to that day. The BBC said that was the day Philip Rycroft's review was published, which first suggested the limit. There is currently no limit for overseas donors who can vote.
