Ministers plan retrospective £100,000 cap on donations from Britons abroad

Ministers said they plan to cap donations from Britons living abroad at £100,000 per person per year. Steve Reed said on 25 March the limit would apply retrospectively from that date. The BBC said 25 March was the publication date of Philip Rycroft's review, whose first recommendation was the cap. Current law sets no limit for donors registered to vote.
