U.S. Ends Pollution Limits for Coal and Gas Plants

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin on Sept. 14 in Houston ended U.S. limits on heat-trapping pollution from coal- and gas-burning power plants. The EPA, the U.S. pollution-control agency, says this saves plants over $300 billion. The announcement came beside a G20 energy meeting of major economies, after Washington left the Paris climate pact to slow warming for the second time.
