EPA Announces Repeal of Power Plant Greenhouse Gas Limits

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin announced Sept. 14 in Houston the repeal of greenhouse gas limits for coal- and gas-fired power plants. EPA estimated the repeal would eliminate more than $300 billion in plant costs. The announcement came on the sidelines of a G20 energy meeting and follows Washington's second withdrawal from the Paris climate accord.
