Microsoft Says People Matter More Than AI

Microsoft AI leader Mustafa Suleyman said Sept. 14 that “People matter more than AI.” In draft rules for building MAI’s smartest AI systems, he says the software should not act as if it has feelings, and deserves no rights, protection as if alive, or legal status. The tools must stay controlled by people and work for them.
