World oil jumps to $107.63, U.S. price tops $100

Brent oil, the world's main price, finished at $107.63 a barrel, up $6.42, or 6.34%, Reuters reported Sept. 11. American oil passed $100 for the first time since May. If this lasts, I expect pump prices to follow, like dearer flour raising bread prices, lifting inflation — how fast prices rise — and squeezing household budgets and borrowing costs.
