Sweden is voting, and far-right could join government

Sweden is voting today, 13 September 2026, to pick its parliament, which chooses the government. The far-right Sweden Democrats could join the government for the first time. As Sweden's second-biggest party, they were promised top government jobs if the right stays in charge. A record 3.6 million voted early. Predictions based on voter surveys were expected at 8pm.
