Minister says plan for 1.5 million homes in England unlikely

Housing Secretary Angela Rayner — the minister in charge of housing — said the government is unlikely to build 1.5 million homes in England by summer 2029. She told the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg the pledge, due by the end of this parliament — the period until the next election — had always been a difficult goal.
