Rayner says "slim chance" of meeting 1.5m homes pledge in England

Housing Secretary Angela Rayner said there is only a "slim chance" the government will meet its pledge to build 1.5 million homes in England. She told the BBC's Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg programme the goal, due by the end of this parliament in summer 2029 at the latest, had always been a "stretch target".
