Automattic confirmed Saturday, Sept. 12, that Matt Mullenweg remains its top leader, as chairman and CEO, with full support from its governing board. The email, sent just after 5 p.m. ET, follows a Wednesday board vote to put Mullenweg, who created WordPress, on paid time off. Automattic owns WordPress.com.
